In the segment I of Newton, the writing on the Devil's T-shirt changes constantly. The slogans that appear on his shirt read (in order): "HELL IS A SUMMER FESTIVAL," "HELL IS A CITY MUCH LIKE NEWARK," "OVER 2,000,000,000 SERVED," "GEHENNA. MORE THAN A PLACE. A WAY OF LIFE," and "LET'S DO DAMNATION."

For syndication Her Pilgrim Soul was stretched to become a two-part episode and I of Newton was paired up with the segment Take My Life... Please! from a different episode.

For syndication the segments of this episode were broken up. Still Life did not make it into syndication, but can be found on the DVD release of the first season. The Misfortune Cookie was attached to the segment titled A Small Talent for War. The Little People of Killany Woods was paired with A Matter of Minutes.

The Little People of Killany Woods segment is similar to the original Twilight Zone series episode Hocus-Pocus and Frisbee.

The segments of this episode were broken up for syndication purposes. Monsters! was given its own half hour episode. A Small Talent for War was paired with the segment titled The Misfortune Cookie from another episode in the first season. A Matter of Minutes was likewise teamed with a first season segment called The Little People of Killany Woods.

The Elevator, written by Ray Bradbury, was paired with another segment based on a Bradbury story titled The Burning Man. To See the Invisible Man was given its own half-hour episode. Tooth and Consequences was attached to the segment Wish Bank to form another syndication episode.

Both John de Lancie and Brent Spiner appear in the Dead Run segment. The two of them would go on to play recurring roles on Star Trek: The Next Generation a couple of years later.
