This is a prime example of why most horror films should stay as trilogies. Altough Anthony Perkins' performance is again well done, and Henry Thomas is almost uncanny as a younger Norman Bates, neither of them can save this mess of an excuse for a movie. The story-line has been totally butchered, and the most surprising thing is that this one was penned by Joseph Stefano! Hell, he wrote the original, why would he change it so drastically? Another thing that bothered me about this movie was, the hints of incest, that seemed a little more disgusting than creepy. If you want Sandman's advice stay away from this made for TV crap piece, and stick with the first three. Half a star out of five.(Truly a dissapointment!) Okay, Sandman's done ranting... for now!
