| Summary |
|
Dr. Joel Winter (David McCallum) investigates the apparent delusional claims of his patient, Gideon (David Carradine), who speaks of an old house with a beautiful woman named Mildred. Much to the doctor's surprise, he finds the house and the woman (Linda Marsh) just as Gideon described - except for the fact that Mildred's index finger is longer than her middle finger. Before he knows it, Dr. Winter is immersed in a world of werewolves and warlocks - where the people that have gone before him have ended up savagely murdered. | Submitted By: TheCabinet

"Good evening. We offer you an evening sojourn amongst the wild, the wooly, the unbelievable, sometimes made believable, as our first painting suggests. From this picture, one wouldn't necessarily conjure up the story of love. But that's precisely what it tells about. The emotion as old as man. But the object of the emotion - this is not quite as familiar. Its title - Phantom Farmhouse. Offering number one in the Night Gallery."

| Summary |
|
A young boy (Radames Pera) awakes one morning and listens as the postman comes to his house and swears that his footsteps are being muffled by a layer of snow that fell in the night. Much to his disappointment, he looks out the window to find the street is bare and lacking snow. However, he begins to imagine the snow falling in his head and becomes infatuated with his hidden world that is covered in snow. As his parents frantically try to get him to snap out of it, he descends further and further into his own fantasy world that is covered in snow that only he can see. Orson Welles narrates. | Submitted By: TheCabinet

"Even here, even among these hostile presences, the snow was waiting, out of sight, with a voice that said, 'Wait, Paul. Just wait till we are alone together. I will tell you something new. Something cold, something sleepy, something of cease and peace and the long bright curve of space. Banish them. Refuse to speak. Go upstairs to your room. I will be waiting for you. I will tell you a story better than the Snow Ghost. I will surround your bed, pile a deep drift against the door, so that none will ever again be able to enter.'"

"Men of science say miracles are past and give reasons for things supernatural. Therefore, we dismiss our terror by finding safety in false knowledge - when, instead, we should submit ourselves to an unknown fear."
