Anybody hear the new Alice album, BRUTAL PLANET? What did you think?
I think a third of it is great, a third is okay, and the last 3rd is kind of weak. I absolutely despise the song BLOW ME A KISS, but absolutely love IT'S THE LITTLE THINGS, COLD MACHINES, TAKE IT LIKE A WOMAN, and BRUTAL PLANET. Some people say COLD MACHINES sounds like Marilyn Manson's BEAUTIFULL PEOPLE, but I just don't hear it. Any one pick this one up yet? What do you think?
I've only listened to it a couple times so far, but I really like what I heard.
If I remember correctly, you got the Alice Cooper box set right? I picked it up a year ago and am still listening to it - probably why I haven't listened that much to Brutal Planet. Fantastic set!
The box set is the best! I think the biggest problem with Brutal Planet is that it has to much guitar. I think Last Temptation had the same problem. It has so much guitar in it that you get tired of it and your mind begins to wonder while it's playing. I'll suddenly snap out of a daze and have to look to see if I'm still on the same song or not. Usualy I'm not.
