Hey! Are you new to our Cabinet? Welcome!
shut the coffin lid and stay a while!

I'm extremely excited about this too:

According to a post we had by a while back by someone calling himself ZOMBIEHORROR, the series was going to be done sometime in the near future.

As well, it is also supposed to be available for viewing on the Internet.

As to the best of my knowledge, this is what I remember, and hope I am right.

The story is called "The Death Of My Death".

It focuses on the first few days and hours after the crisis begins, and shows how the world begins to collapse during the first initial horror of the walking dead.

I do know from the post that Romero WANTED to do a movie, but said that the budget for HIS type of idea for the film would run into the HUNDREDS of millions.

He even said something about possibly needing a BILLION to do what he wanted to do on screen.

Thus you can see why he's going literary.

One thing I think was a mistake was firing Romero from the Resident Evil movie.

WHO knows the Dead better than Uncle George?

They said they didn't like his idea for the storyline.

It's a shame that studios do this: They take this "Throw it against the wall and see if it sticks" attitude.

Maybe if they got Romero back, and let him finish what he started, maybe we'll get a big suprise.

But as it looks now, we'll never know. A pity.

Don't mind my long-windedness: I LOVE chatting with people about zombie films, or ANY kind of horror film for that matter.

Take care and see ya' soon!

For the scoop go to
georgearomero.com
,
the way it works now is that the 1st chapter of the book is available. You mail them a check for $3 and they will send you the 1st chapter by email. In the future you will also be able to purchase the chapters that will be sent throught the mail 3 chapters at a time.
I'd like to hear from someone who has ordered the 1st chapter to get an idea on what it is like.

On a side note if you like zombie fiction go to homepageofthedead.com and read the stories that people write and get posted on the website. Some of them are actually pretty good. My favorite so far is the Resident Evil 3 story.
