I hear you Calico. I'm still baffled by the whole thing with the remakes lately. I suppose I am slightly intrigued with what they might do with ANOES, but remain overly skeptical. I hear they are going the really dark route and nixing the whole Freddy one-liners thing, which is promising. However, this is the same company that swore that the remake of Texas Chainsaw would be less graphic than the original - Which just verified that they hadn't seen or paid close attention to the film they were remaking in the first place.
Just in case you are still not aware Platinum Dunes, your remake of Chainsaw featured a lot more blood than the original. |

It's not just the remakes that I am baffled by, but the countless brainless twits that are excited by them.
Also, let's not forget that the director made commercials before this, so he has plenty of experience to handle a remake of such an iconic classic movie.
Oh, and hello to everyone. |

It's Jackie Earl Haley, who is just amazing. He was the chi-mo in Little Children, Rorcschadt in Watchmen, and Kelly in the original Bad News Bears. I think he's an incredible actor.
Regardless of how the film ends up, I bet he does just fine. However, I wish they would have left this one alone. For the ceiling bloodbath, if anything. Back in the day, that was prime special effects. _________________ Work is the curse of the drinking class. |

OMG...Kelly from the Bad News Bears?! LoL...i always wondered what happened to him. I thought he looked familiar. Anyhow, saw the trailer, and they used a lot of the frills to get a rise out of me, but it still didnt pique my interest enough to want to see it. This is definitely one they should have left alone.

The trailer for this was played before Zombieland this weekend. I was delighted when "From producer Michael Bay" flashed on the screen - and was met with groans.
Any way.. seeing it again, it looks like everything else they've put out. Flashy and action packed.
If that's what you like, though, that's perfectly fine. It's just that I have no faith. _________________ This feeling inside me
