Just wondering what everybodys favorite horror monster/maniac is .Im the old fashiond type so mine would have to be a toss up between Dracula and Frankenstein(man and monster),just because theres really no copyright on them so basically any studio or filmaker(Universal ,Hammer ,Jess Franco ,Paul Naschy)can do anything they want with them .Put them in good films(Horror of Dracula ,House of Frankenstein),or in bad ones(Dracula vs. Frankenstein).I also love the Blind Dead ,and every other classic monster .Sorry i dont like Jason ,but i do enjoy Freddy Krueger ,to a point..........

Ya gotta love zombies. I also like demons but vampires and werewolves are pretty high up on my list. The most original monster I've ever seen though is Pumpkin Head.

Thanks DiaboliK,
I like classic monster movies myself but I prefer newer ones because I can relate to them more. Pumpkin head I loved but the sequel sucked. Do you like demon movies? MY favs are Evil dead series, Demons and Night of the demons 1 and 2 but not the terrible part 3.

zombies, definately, as well as all their offsets ie demons, scarecrows(in one movie), zombie-like vampires, rabid people etc. anything where there is mass numbers of some sort of threat, guess it makes it more menacing plus there is the fact that all of the above can affect anyone, which makes it creepier.

Im sorry ,but Jason is just a rip off of Michael Myers .Observe:
MM: JV:
White mask White hockey mask
indestructable indestructable
jump suit jump suit(later on)
butcher knife machete
Halloween Friday the 13th
And the one thing that they both obviously have in common :The fact that they've been brought back one too many times .......

I'm more of a Michael person myself. I've never seen the church but i;m trying to get my hands onit. I still like jason even if he is a ripoff of Michael. I much prefer little known slasher's like The Prowler, Sorority house massacre etc

For a great psycho killer flick check out(if you can get your hands on it) ,Silent Night Bloody Night(not Deadly Night ,with the santa claus killer). It came out in 1971 ,and is starring John Carradine ,but the film is so obscure ,its not even listed ,or mentioned ,in his filmographies .The plot and camera work(complete with putting you in the eyes of the killer)is almost identical to Halloween ,but came out 7 years before it !Could John Carpenter have seen this movie !?It appears to have been shot in 8mm ,and looks almost as if it was a student film ,and is one of the most hard to find films in my collection(I got my copy from an old video store).Good luck finding this one !

Maybe Jason is a ripoff of michael myers, but he is 10 times cooler, and definitely the better of the two.I like Bruce Campbell as an actor, zombies, demons, and pinhead!!!
