Hey all you bloodhounds!
Does anyone remember this movie where a guy dressed in a red executioner's outfit was going around killing people in this castle?
I was young when I saw it on "Creature Feature", and I remember at the end of the movie, the killer was dying, and he told his story to his would be victims:
It seems he was an SS officer in WW2 who was punished for his role in the Hitler bomb plot, and they skinned his entire face so he would look like the SS symbol, the Death's Head, thus explaining the mask.
The castle was burning up after that, and everyone lived happily ever after.
I think but I'm not sure, that Christopher Lee was in this one.
Anybody got a clue?

Did I read somewhere that this is where the comic book bad guy Dr. Doom came from? or did i dream that?

I saw Bloody Pit Of Horror a while back.
I did a search on Christopher Lee earlier on the net today, and found out the name of the movie I'm looking for is "Horror Castle", aka "The Angel Of Nuremberg", and it did have Lee in it!
I looked up Lee's film credits, and found this title and also a plot synopsis, which more or less resembles the one I posted here.
More now than ever I gotta' find it. Here I go, wish me luck.

Hey GS!
I found the title I was looking for, it's called "Horror Castle", aka "The Angel Of Nuremberg", and did have Lee in it.
I looked up his film credits on the Net earlier, and was quite suprised to find out that he also played in a 007-style movie called "Jaguar Lives", and a comedy called "A Feast At Midnight", where he was the headmaster at a boy's school.
A very wide range of talents for Mr. Lee. I'm impressed.

Yes I have! Lee is one of the actors who can go from stern disciplinarian to downright EVIL when he has those red contacts in his eyes as Dracula! So versatile!
Yeah, they're almost gone, but NOT forgotten, not now, not ever! God bless em' for the years of entertainment they've given us.
