Hi guys!
I recently bought Dawn and Day of The Dead on DVD, and man they rock!
Playin' em' on my PC really is cool!
The clarity is unbelievable, and you can pick out things you never saw before, as well as hear things you never heard before if you got a great stereo setup.
But alas, all is not gold that glitters:
"Dawn" is the U.S. theatrical release WITHOUT the extra footage recently added for the VHS Anniversary edition, which was the Director's Cut.
Does anyone know if the Director's Cut is available on DVD?
No matter if it isn't, cause' I have the VHS one; it's just that stuff like this is too good to keep confined to only one format.
Any help here is greatly appreciated.
Thanks one and all,
Shawn

So do I.
It fills in the gaps at the beginning, like what happened at the police HQ when Flyboy found the operator dead.
As well, it fills in and makes sense of some other scenes, like after Roger gets bitten in the leg, as well as the extra scenes with the bikers in the mall.
Glad to see you own it too. It rocks!
Talk to ya' soon,
Shawn

Ya' won't be disappointed, that's for sure!
You'd be suprised how much more you can see and pick out with digital video.
It's like watching the whole thing all over again. AND, some of the DVD'S have extra goodies on them too.
I don't know if you know this, but there is a 30th Anniversary "Night Of The Living Dead" DVD out now, limited edition DVD.
It has the ORIGINAL film, with the canned music replaced by music from the Gothic band Dark Theatre.
It also has the original film with NEW scenes that were filmed in 1998 exclusively for the 30th Anniversary.
This version also has the new music, AND the guy who composed it, Scott Vladimir Licina, in a small role as well as the lovely Debbie Rochon as a reporter covering the dead phenomena.
So, you get 2 movies for the price of one, PLUS some other goodies as well, but I don't wanna' spoil it for you.
Be sure to ask for the "30th Anniversary Limited Edition". Don't miss it!
They're coming to get you, Bill!
See ya' around,
Shawn
