Because of this thread, in my hiatus from the Cabinet I not only read Weaveworld, but I also read Imajica and found a first US printing of The Great and Secret Show.

You know, I adored the Stephen King 8 one hour miniseries done on TNT or wherever. There is more than enough in the Books of Blood and Barker's older material to have fodder for at least 3 seasons of 12 episodes. Maybe 12 short stories and then two 12 part novels.

Hello daphne,

I haven't read that much of Barker, which short stories of his would you pick for a TV adaptation?

I'd love to see the short story about the young man whose colleague, a man who kidnaps people and subjects them to their worst fears, is terrified of clowns. I can't remember the name of the story - Dread, maybe?

I just checked out IMDB and see that he's actually working on a few Books of Blood stories for a movie - link. The message boards also say that Dread may be in production, too.

'Bout damned time!

EDIT - However, I'd MOST like to see Cabal released onto DVD with the missing footage.
