For the record I will mention that I'm very much a cat kind of guy (I guess there's dog people, then there's cat people). They are my favourite animal. There's something mystic about the cat. Perhaps it's not so strange they were burned as witches familiars in the dark ages.

My cat is named Lucas (Karate Face) and previously I've had one named Cassandra. Both black, of course.

As Deena mentioned, "Not Waving" is a contribution by Michael Marshall Smith to Ellen Datlow's anthology of feline horror, Twists of the Tale. Naturally I had to have it as soon as I saw it. Both "tail" and book are an excellent excursion into the secret realms of the cat, and the horrors and wonders that await therein.

Well John, that's okay. We can't all like the same thing.
