We talked about Lisa Tuttle before, and her novels. But I haven't seen too many of her short stories around, other than Bug House and The Memory of Wood (forgive me, I know that title isn't right). Today I went through the antho Angels of Darkness, edited by Marvin Kaye, and found a story by her titled, "The Other Mother." I skipped over this story the first time because I thought it was just that same old story that's been retold a bunch of times. Well, it's not. This story is everything a short horror story should be. I was amazed at how much this story got to me and was wondering if anyone else has read it and what your thoughts are.
