Yes good people, it's still me, still your trusted Fenriz!
I'm starting to feel comfortable with you guys, so I'm changing my pet name Fenriz to Fenny* from now on. I can see you are calling me that anyway. Less formal, more dynamic for fast message board postin'.

By the way, has anyone noticed that immediately after Casey changed the messageboard for this new outlook this place suddenly picked up with heavy traffic in users?

Great going! I think I mentioned I thought this would be the case on the test board. Glad to see it all come to pass.

Yours,

Fenny (former Fenriz)

Ah, I knew you would change your name. I just kept on calling you Fenny until you began to think of yourself as Fenny. You are now mine. Whaa ha ha ha ha ha ha! Ok, that's enough of my Dr. Evil laugh.

And yes, I have noticed the more frequent posts since the change over. I had a feeling it would work out this way. It just seems to me that this style of board is more inviting.

Sound great Fenriz. : ) I've always kind of figured, "What's in a name?" but if that makes you feel closer to us, then I'm all for it, and I'm glad to hear you feel comfortable with us here. I know what you mean in some ways, almost everywhere I go on the net, I eventually get called "Wolfie" or some other variation, and that always kind of lets me know that I've been accepted.

And once again, I agree with both of you, this new format has definitely picked things up a bit, and I'm certainly glad we all came back together here and got it going again, it's a great place to come and converse on this stuff! No all we need is for some of the other old guard (like Hunting Girl, Hope and Killer Klown to name a few) to check in. I keep hoping to see on of them come in again.

Of course the group we have going now is great, and I feel glad and privileged to be in such good company.

So, now we have to start calling Fenny something else, so that he'll have to change it again?

I considered writing on here with some cool name like Mardya or Carmilla or something people would have to figure out, but it's easier to be myself if I see my real name. One of my email addresses is Tarleton_Fiske, and people give me strange looks; I feel fake. Now if anyone can tell me where that name comes from, I just MAY marry them!

Anyway, do you guys find it easier calling yourself a real name or a fake one? Any differences?

Heck, I've been Mr Self Affliction for so long now I've totally forgotten my real name.

Layback was a nickname given to me by some pothead friends of mine who were big fans of Cheech and Chong. They had a character named Layback Lennie on one album. I was in the Air Force at the time, over 25 years ago. I hadn't heard it since I got out of the service in 1976. Hence the '76' of Layback76. When I got my computer 1.5 years ago, I found out that Layback was a pretty popular nickname. I guess that there are still a lot of middle-aged Cheech and Chong fans around on the Internet.

I got an email from our beloved Hunting Girl, Wolf. And from the looks of it, so did you. For you others; The new company policy where she works dosen't allow here to access The Cabinet of Dr Casey from her work like she used to. And they are also driving her to utter exhaustion by burying her in work that apparently only she is equipped to do by the sound of it. Now I'll really miss her since I had borne an innate hope against hope that she would return. Not so know it seems. So this is the sad and recent update on the current standings of my first and finest internet sparring partner in horror ever Sad

Deena; I've been Fenny for close to 2 and a half years now, albeit for the most part on other message boards, so I'm very easy with this internet persona. My real name is no secret though. It's Thomas Nordahl. But on message boards I don't respond to that name, so please don't think that starting to call me that will make me change again, cuz it won't work, sugar!

But now that we have such hot women! over here I feel this place has everything again and I'm solely posting here.

The biggest difference between Thomas and Fenny is that Thomas is shy and untalkative and extremely unsocial, while Fenny is boisterously unabashed and suffering from diarrhæa of the mouth, or rather, of the digits, or...how is that really? Anyway, you get the drift. I'm cool with Fenny *puts on shades*

Well as far as my name, I've been the Wolf for about as long as I've been on the net, about five years now (always done that way with a lowercase "t" in "the") I use "mcdmwolf" for email addresses and such, so as to personalize it. I'm pretty much the same as I am on the net, I have very few inhibitions as far as speech in RL and I tend to wax philosophical on many occasions.

As for how I came by the name, the Wolf, it has a few of it's own secret origins, but mostly it's simply because I have such a lupine nature in RL that naturally bleeds into my net life. I quite literally go out howling on regular occasions, I growl, I lope around on all fours sometimes when I have a place to myself. It feels good.

Yes, Fenny, I did get that email, and it saddened me, but I'm not ready to count out HG just yet. For one thing we can still email her. May take a lot longer for contact, but eventually she'll get back to us. Plus, from what I've seen before, she can be resourceful, and she won't let work get her down too much. We'll see her again, one way or another. I have faith in that.

Well lets see, my real name is NOT phangoria, would that it was... my real name is deidre. But my screen name on yahoo is necro_phage, which I picked out because of a role playing game. But people always have to ask, do you really eat dead people? My answer is always the same: Why dont you die and find out? Smile

"Why don't you die and find out?"

Ooooh! Good one, Phango!

As for myself, ever since high-school I've been "Romany" to pretty much everyone (except my parents, who naturally prefer the name they gave me).

The "X" is the result of having come late to the party as far as the internet is concerned: when I signed up for my first E-mail account, "Romany" was taken. Aside from the fond associations (X-Men, X the Unknown, etc.), I knew "RomanyX" would be easier to remember than "Romany568294762" (for myself, as well as others;^)).

So, for the sake of simplicity, I sign on as "RomanyX" pretty much everywhere I go. The major exception is Yahoo: the Romanyx over there is someone else.

Like Deena, I was tempted to come up with a new name when I (finally) got up the nerve to start posting here. But then I realized that if I started posting as "Devil-Girl" or "Shub Niggurath's Kid" I'd be creating a personna that I might not always feel like living up to.

Well I've wheezed on long enough, so...

Bye now,

RomanyX
