| I personally thought Deb's reaction to the news was classic. For some strange reason - even with his "internal thoughts" voice-overs, I'm still not quite sure what his delay or thinking was. What about Astor and Cody? Isn't he pretty much their father? Or is it passing along his darkside? I don't quite get his hesitation I have to admit. |

| Showtime renewed it for two more seasons earlier this week. Interesting that they went for two seasons. I wonder if it was a contract thing to lock in the licensing fees or if there is some grand plan to limit it to five seasons. |

It would be smart to limit it to five seasons. I love the show, but I think more than 5 seasons would really be stretching it too far.
I happened to see a sneak peek at the first episode of the new season. I won't give spoilers, but I'll say it has a great start. I can't wait for show to actually start up again. |

We had "Dextfast" this evening again, which has become a sort of ritual in this house - eat breakfast for dinner on Sundays while watching Dexter.
This evening ham was scarce, so we made bacon and called it even. However, the orange juice was awesome.
I feel like I should have watched season three again, because I missed how the Batista and Laguerta got together. I thought Angel was still boffing the vice cop.
No matter. I'm sure the episodes will be on again. And again. And again. _________________ Work is the curse of the drinking class. |

They addressed the lady cop and just said that the she and Batista split during the off season. i think having him and Laquerta hook up was just a way to give the actors something more to do and move them in some sort of forward progression. unfortunately, this aspect of the show doesn't work for me. i'm actually pretty torn on this season. there have been some great moments, especially with John Lithgow, but Dex has barely killed anyone himself, and the story has really gotten bogged down by those in the office... _________________ Are you and Independent Filmmaker?
