For some odd reason, I just started thinking about some of the more wild moments on television. By that I mean those moments that were both absolutely shocking, yet hilariously warped that they caused me to break out in laughter from both horror and non-horror shows. The type that made you say, "I can't believe they just did that!"
A few examples:
The "Turkey Drop" episode of WKRP. Honestly, one of the most classic moments of television. Should be required viewing for all sitcom writers.
The high school teacher accidentally getting blown up on Lost. If that wasn't surreal enough, then having the fellow castaways pick the pieces off of them.
The "Scott Tenorman Must Die" episode of South Park. My jaw hit the floor at the end of that one and then I had to rewind it because I was laughing so hard and didn't hear all of the aftermath.
A couple moments on ALF. First when he tries to meet the grandfather and the man has a heart attack and then on the TV movie (after the series was cancelled) when he accidentally electrocuted a technician. By my count, Alf was responsible for at least two human deaths, which were played for laughs, and I know I haven't seen them all.
