Yeah, I'm surprised that nobody else mentioned this movie. It seems like there was a time all these great TV movies were on every once in a while, but now I guess we have to settle for finding them on tape or DVD!
Another one of my favorites was the Rankin & Bass "Mad Monster Party" which I have on videocasette but it is beta, unfortunately:( I can't view it as my betamax blew up years ago!
I like the Gargoyles cartoon. Violent stuff coming from Disney. My first tv terror exposure was seeing A Nightmare On Elm Street and Poltergeist on HBO back in '84. And both films are STILL in my collection.
Growing up, there was nothing scarier than "Thriller" on tv. The two scariest shows were Pigeons From Hell and the Grim Reaper. Both stand up very well today. The Alfred Hitchcock Hour had a couple of scary shows as well: The Magic Shop and An Unlocked Window. While the Twilight Zone is not generally regarded as horror, the "Talking Tina" episode was quite scary (viewing this as a kid). Finally I vaguely remember seeing a couple of shows from Great Ghost Tales called "The Monkey's Paw" and "Summer Rental". Hope that brings back some memories to some of you.
