| This is a library of books and DVDs on Amazon.com that we have compiled that may be helpful in further planning trips to macabre sites. Almost all of these resources were used in researching data for Dark Destinations. We have provided our own overview/mini-review of each resource as a way to highlight its usefulness when it comes to planning trips or simply finding new locations. We have also compiled a list of useful Internet Resources that offer further information that can be useful in planning a trip. In addition to these resources, every location on Dark Destinations lists external links as well as further resources available on Amazon.com that lists more information about that given location. More resources will be added to this library over time as we sort through our own collections, so please check back often. If you know of a book or a DVD that fits the profile and is missing from the list, please Let us Know and we will be sure to get it included here. Feel free to add your own ratings and/or comments to each of the resources below to further aid fellow dark travelers. |

Where Are They Buried? How Did They Die? Fitting Ends and Final Resting Places of the Famous, Infamous, and Noteworthy |
Book |
4/1 |

| By Tod Benoit |
|
Overview by TheCabinet: A comprehensive listing of the grave sites of the famous and infamous. The book covers over 450 cultural icons and their final resting spots around the world. Chapters are broken down by theme and generational appeal, along with helpful indexes for all of the individuals, as well as the states and countries covered. Includes such destinations as Hollywood Forever Cemetery, Oak Grove Cemetery, Fall River, MA, Calvary Cemetery, St. Louis, Missouri, etc. Each entry contains decent directions to both the cemetery and the graves inside. The only missing aspect is an index that lists the individual cemeteries as it is not uncommon to find multiple personalities at one site.

The Worldwide Guide to Movie Locations (NEW updated edition) |
Book |
4/1 |
| By Tony Reeves |
|
Overview by TheCabinet: This collection of movie locations around the world is fairly comprehensive and includes countless horror film locations among its listings, including the Ennis House (House on Haunted Hill and more), Monroeville Mall (Dawn of the Dead), Bagdad Cemetery, Leander, TX (The Texas Chainsaw Massacre), and many, many more. The directions can sometimes be vague and very little beyond how the location appeared in the film is offered, but the book makes up for it with the sheer number of sites collected. The book lists the locations based on the movie titles (though there is not a helpful listing of what movies are included) and there is an index that breaks them down by country and state. Given its general coverage, more research may be required, but the book offers a fantastic array of locations that you might otherwise not think of.

The Worldwide Guide to Movie Locations Presents: London |

| By Tony Reeves |
|
Overview by TheCabinet: From the same author behind The Worldwide Guide to Movie Locations comes this book that is focused on movie locations in and around London, England. The book reportedly lists over 500 films and their locations throughout the city. While not yet on our own shelves, given the fantastic coverage of Tony Reeves's first book, it seemed appropriate to include his latest addition as well.
