| bloodyfreak's Trip |
| On one of my trips to Pittsburgh, we decided to take a little side trip and visit the famous Cemetary where it all started. Evans City Cemetary, the mecca of zombie movie creation. It was just as exciting as I thought it would be, everything was preserved almost as it had been in 1968 when they filmed Night of the Living Dead. It was almost like stepping back in time and into the film itself, just in color. After wandering around trying to find some headstones that were recognizable from the film, I managed to find one of the most known headstones. The one that Barbara stands next to as she watches her brother get attacked and eaten by a zombie. Turns out it was just straight up the path from the shed that the car was parked next to. All in all it was an amazing experience and if you are ever in the Pittsburgh area, it is worth taking a detour to visit it. |
