| What was your first "Dark Destination"? |
Hard to say. It was probably in the early 80s when my family was visiting Los Angeles and my brother convinced my parents to drive by the Sharon Tate house (he had just finished reading Helter Skelter) and we secured a "Map of the Stars" just for that reason. We fortunately found it, since it is now demolished.

| Describe the typical types of Dark Destinations you visit. |
I always try to find the most "haunted" hotels in the general area and make sure to stay there and I've stayed in a lot of them. I haven't had much happen to speak of, but it is always entertaining at least. Locations associated with the horror genre (literary, film, etc.). The cryptozoology world has always fascinated me, as has the paranormal. I am mostly interested in the sites that have a long folklore history and/or interesting back-story attached to them.
