The Hills Have Eyes
These rocky formations served as the shooting location for Wes Craven's 1977 horror film, The Hills Have Eyes. It is unclear whether this was the same location for his follow-up 1985 sequel, The Hills Have Eyes II, but it appears doubtful. The remake (and its subsequent sequel) abandoned this locale and were instead shot in Morocco.
The Mojave Desert
These hills are located at the edge of Lucerne Dry Lake, just to the east of Victorville, California. This locale constitutes the southern part of the Mojave Desert. If plan to travel to this location, please be aware that these are desert conditions. Pack plenty of water, food, snake bite kits, and sunblock to protect yourself.
