The Roswell Incident
In July of 1947 some believe a UFO crashed in Roswell, New Mexico. The incident has become what is perhaps the most famous piece of UFO and alien lore. The town has played to the public interest in aliens and is friendly to UFO tourism.

UFO Festival
Roswell, New Mexico is home to the annual UFO Festival. The festival features guest appearances by authors, researchers and showbiz personalities (such as actors from The X-Files). The festival is held every July in honor of the Roswell Incident. The festival features events such as the Alien Parade, Alien Costume Contest, showings of Sci-Fi movies, rocket launches, Battle of the Worlds Bands, paint ball, laser tag and more.
