The Location
Dr. Trancis Tumuelty, a Jack the Ripper suspect, once lived in an apartment at this address. It was during this time that he performed illegal abortions out back of the Reynolds Arcade building. It was also around this time that he married a woman, who he later found out to be a prostitute, thereby leading to an obsessive hatred of women.
The apartment building was demolished and a large office building took its place. The office building stands on the corner of Andrews and State.
