Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church
One of three purported resting places of Robert Johnson. On Johnson's death certificate his burial place is listed as "Zion Baptist Church," leading some to believe that Mt. Zion was the cemetery listed. Based on this information, in 1991 Sony/Columbia Records (after their release of Johnson's collection) and the Mt. Zion Fund pitched in and purchased this monument and placed it on the grounds. Recent evidence seems to suggest that his grave is actually up north at the Little Zion Missionary Baptist Church outside Greenwood.
