The Curse of Edgar Allan Poe
The Deer Park Tavern rests on the same spot where the St. Patrick's Inn stood before it burned down. Both George Washington and Edgar Allan Poe are said to have stayed at the St. Patrick's Inn. Legend has it that Poe cursed the former inn after slipping in the mud there.
The Deer Park Tavern has experienced some signs of haunting. Doors open and close on their own and noises are heard when there is no visible source.
