Information
Marlon Brando
This site was the home of actor Marlon Brando for nearly 50 years. The house that Marlon called "Frangipani" (meaning "mansion in the sky") was leveled by new owner, actor Jack Nicholson, after Brando's death in 2004.

Dag Drollet and Christian Brando
On May 16, 1990, Marlon's son shot and killed his half-sister's (Cheyenne Brando) boyfriend Dag Drollet. Dag had been in a relationship with Cheyenne for four years at this point and she was 8 months pregnant with his child. However, Christian Brando had not met his sister's boyfriend until the day of the shooting. According to testimony, Cheyenne had dinner at Musso & Frank Grill with her brother earlier in the evening. During this meal she apparently told her brother that she was being abused by her boyfriend. This may or may not have been true.

Later that night, a drunken Christian, upset from what he'd been told, apparently tried to scare Dag Drollet with a gun. Instead he shot Drollet in the back of the head, killing him.

Ultimately, with the legal assistance of O.J. Simpson Murder Trial lawyer, Robert Shapiro, Christian Brando pled guilty to the charge of manslaughter. He would spend five years in prison for the crime. In 1995, Cheyenne would commit suicide in her mother's home.

Years later, Christian would be tied to the Robert Blake Murder Trial. Christian had been a lover of murder victim Bonnie Lee Bakley and it was even suggested by Robert Blake's lawyer that Christian may have been involved in her murder.
