Information
Bucksport, Maine
Bucksport, Maine is the home of the famous Jonathan Buck Witch's Curse and also some of Maine's most famous unsolved mysteries. Beheadings, triple homicides, and unexplained deaths all have become a part of the town's infamous past. With the Historic Fort Knox State Park overlooking the town, and the newly finished Penobscot Narrows Bridge Observatory, it makes Bucksport an incredible place to visit.

The Penobscot Expedition
The Penobscot River itself was home to one of the Revolutionary War's biggest blunders, the Penobscot Expedition. The Colonial Fleet, trapped and blocked off from open water, chose instead to set ablaze their own ships and were set afoot to walk back to Boston. Paul Revere was one of the more famous men involved and was actually court martialled for the loss of his ship. As for the ghost ships, a river congested with trade was fair game to the local pirates, such as Dixie Bull and the famed Captain Kidd, thought to have buried treasure in the area.

Ghosts
Bucksport is a town known for its paranormal haunts as well with most of the older homes laying claims of haunts, ghosts, and banshee's screaming in the night.
