The Ghost of Vivia Thomas
This fort is supposedly haunted by the spirit of Vivia Thomas. Thomas was a veangeful woman who stalked a former fiance who broke off their engagement shortly before their wedding. She posed as a man to enlist in the army and be stationed at the same fort as her former lover. One night she murdered him out of jealousy. The death was blamed on an Indian attack. Feeling remorse, Vivia lay upon his grave all night until she froze to death. Her guilt has apparently caused her to linger at the Fort even in death.
