Today marks the 22nd anniversary of the Chernobyl nuclear power plant disaster. On April 26, 1986, multiple human errors led to, what is to date, the worst disaster at a nuclear facility. The disaster caused the deaths of many plant workers who heroically risked their lives to keep the situation from getting worse. Unfortunately, an untold number of people have been affected by the accident as radioactivity was spread over other countries as well.
