Dark travel destinations in the news include a school in India that cancelled classes due to "ghostly" activity, the Bell Witch of Tennessee, haunted Maryland, Wisconsin and Chicago, new footage of the Loch Ness Monster, a Bigfoot exhibit, Haunted Baseball, attempt to save "haunted" museum, the Dumas Brothel, Camp Nelson, and various ghost walks and Halloween attractions around the United States.  These articles appeared over the last two days in newspapers and magazines around the world and are featured here as a companion to our Dark Destinations.  As always, if you notice an article we missed, please send it to us using the link on the bottom of the page. 'Ghosts' haunt Howrah school The Times of India reports that classes at India's Degri Girls High School in Domjur, Howrah had to be cancelled on Saturday after students fled the classroom after reporting strange poltergeist activity. The Bell Witch: a Tennessee ghost tale The story of the Bell Witch of Adams, Tennessee is recounted for the upcoming ghost story festival and Haunted Museum at the Tennessee State Museum in Nashville, Tennessee, as reported by The Tennessean. Mingle with the dead this fall in Maryland An article from the Contra Costa Times explores various spots for paranormal activity around the state of Maryland with stops at Point Lookout State Park, Antietam National Battlefield, Ram's Head Tavern and more. Nessie: The Eel Thing An article from the Daily Star examines recent video said to possibly capture the elusive Loch Ness Monster in Scotland, which apparently was filmed last May. Sasquatch exhibit starts run at state Capital Museum The Olympian reports on the opening day of Giants in the Mountains: The Search for Sasquatch, an exhibit in Olympia, Washington dedicated to the stories of Bigfoot in the Pacific Northwest. Athletes get in the spirit An article from the Akron Beacon Journal examines the new book, Haunted Baseball, which explores stories of the paranormal in the world of professional baseball, including haunted ballparks like the California stadiums - Los Angeles Dodger Stadium and Petco Field in San Diego. Astrologer Cainer puts house on market for £1.2m The York Press reports that astrologer Jonathan Cainer is selling his home in a bid to save the formerly named Psychic Museum, in Stonegate, York and re-open it under the name Haunted, to begin to offer tours of the reputably haunted museum. The spirit(s) of Chicago The Chicago Tribune has this write-up on the owner of the Chicago Hauntings tours, Ursula Bielski, including a bit on her favorite subject - Resurrection Mary. Ghost hunters: Paranormal investigators roam dark, dank halls of Butte's former Dumas Brothel The Montana Standard reports on a paranormal investigation at the Dumas Brothel in Butte, Montana by members of the Washington-based F.O.G. (Friends of Ghosts) Paranormal Investigations and Research late last month.
